
Pit-mounted dock leveler to be (6') (6-1/2') (7') wide, and (6')(8')
long with a working range to be from 12" above to 12" below dock
level. Leveler to be hydraulically-operated via push button, remote
control box which includes defeatable automatic return to dock mode for
automatic recycle of leveler upon departure of carrier, power lip control
for for faster lip extension and retraction, and stop control to electrically
stop deck motion. Leveler to minimize time requirement for return
to stored position by circumventing full cycle operation through activation
of a one-touch push button control. Control box to be NEMA 12.
Motor to be (see wiring specifications), one horsepower, thermal overload
protected. Leveler lip to positively extend and retract via separate,
double-acting hydraulic cylinder during deck lift and to yield under pressure
from backing trucks. Deck cylinder to include drop safe velocity
fuse and a front mounted control to adjust descent rate. Leveler
lip and deck to be constructed with high-strength 55000 lb. yield (or better)
steel safety tread plate. Decks with widths of 6' or 6-1/2' to be
reinforced with a minimum of 6" I-beams and two 10" plates.
Decks with widths of 7' to be reinforced with a minimum of eight 6"
I-beams and two 10" plates. Leveler to include full range telescoping
toe guard on each side, four security night locks, maintenance prop bar,
two laminated rubber bumpers, and grease fittings. Leveler to provide
more than 12" of float to allow firm contact with a trailer that is
varying in height as its load weight is changed. Leveler to be painted
machine tool gray with safety yellow toe guards. Leveler to meet
or exceed all CS202 and ANSI 14.1 load requirements for ___________ capacity
